About
I studied Fine Art Printmaking to M.A level at Camberwell college of Art and since graduating have taught printmaking at degree level in London Colleges. I have continued to do my own prints and in the last two years have created my own range of printed products including greetings cards, sketch books, gift tags and key rings.
The planters I make are all made by me from London rubbish and things people save for me. I currently trade on Broadway Market in London E8 every Saturday from 9.30 til 4. This has proved very successful for me and also an ideal place to find valuable source materials, which would otherwise be thrown away. I have a few east end market traders who save their sacks for me, but I can still be found trawling through the rubbish at the end of the day which often raises a few eyebrows!
I am a keen cyclist, often going on cycling holidays which reflects in my work. I am keen on birds and wildlife and also London Life. I have travelled in eastern Europe, cycling through Romania which had a great effect on my outlook towards waste and the use of materials. I loved the vibrance of Romania, the amazing resilience of the people, the colour and the dependence on natural resources, not through choice but necessity.
I enjoy printing and making things by hand and hope to continue to do so for a very long time. I print on re-cycled stock (70% - 100%) and the envelopes are made from re-cycled paper.
